“Speak” deals with what it is like to live in a war zone and what common needs are for people who are still trying to keep their businesses open. In this case an Iraqi woman talks about wanting to keep her hair salon running but that with no water or electricity it is almost impossible to do so. I think people forget that war is not something that only happens in remote areas of the world and I tried to imagine what it would be like if my hometown were under fire. The images and sounds were appropriated from BBC World News online. It combines the voices of women from opposing sides of the war.
